El Poblado is mostly made up of hills crossed by major roads such as Avenida El Poblado, Transversal Inferior, Transversal Superior, and Avenida Las Palmas. These hills are very representative of the area, as they concentrate most of the residential supply and are especially preferred for having one of the coolest climates in the city.

LAS PALMAS
It is a very important corridor in the city, offering a wide variety of commercial and service options for people living nearby.
Las Palmas features leisure spaces such as nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, schools and universities, event centers, shopping malls, among others. Some of the most notable are: San Diego Shopping Mall, Intercontinental Hotel, Hato Viejo Restaurant, Dulce Jesús Mío Nightclub, Prisma Building (with apartments, offices, and commercial spaces), Palma Grande Mall, Country Club, Seminario Mayor, Chuscalito, Colegio Latino, and La Colegiatura (Higher Education Institution).
In addition to being a highly mixed-use corridor, Las Palmas offers country-style apartments and houses for rent. These properties are characterized by their exclusivity, large spaces, and high-end finishes, and are preferred by a small segment of the population. Housing in this area is located beyond the Intercontinental Hotel.
LOMA DEL INDIO
This hill corresponds to Calle 29. It is an area with very good access roads (Calle 33, Avenida Las Palmas, Avenida El Poblado). Housing in this area is family-oriented, with socioeconomic strata 4 and 5. There are more apartments for rent than houses, with areas ranging from 60 to 90 m². LOMA CASTROPOL – CALLE 14
This hill corresponds to Calle 14 and extends from Colinas del Poblado Building, connecting Avenida El Poblado to Las Palmas. The socioeconomic stratum of this area is 6. Loma Castropol is highly sought after and offers a wide variety of properties, from studio apartments for rent to houses for rent with more than 200 m², most of them with high-end finishes. Castropol has reference points such as Centro Automotriz, Palms Avenue, and the Anti-Aging Clinic.
LOMA LINDE (LALINDE)
This hill is Calle 11B and connects with Castropol, with Hotel Park10 as a reference point. Lalinde is mainly residential, making it easy to find houses and apartments for rent. Properties range from 40 m² apartments to 230 m² houses, with rental prices from COP 1,100,000 to COP 4,200,000. This area is known for being very quiet and having excellent access roads (Avenida El Poblado, Calle 10, Calle 12, Transversal Intermedia), making it very attractive when choosing a place to live.
LA COLA DEL ZORRO
This hill is Calle 10 and is a multifamily residential area that runs from Transversal Superior to Las Palmas. The residential zone is characterized by more country-style housing, with properties mainly consisting of apartments and housing complexes.
Some reference points include: La Providencia School, CES University, Pinar del Río, Vizcaya, and Hotel 10.
LOMA DEL TESORO
This hill begins at Calle 10 and ends at El Tesoro Shopping Mall. It is one of the most representative hills of El Poblado, characterized by family housing complexes with large common areas and panoramic city views. In Loma El Tesoro, apartments can be found starting at 120 m², with rental prices from COP 2,000,000.
Reference points include Vizcaya, El Tesoro Shopping Mall, and Clínica del Rosario.
LA TOMADERA
This hill is Calle 5A and runs from Avenida El Poblado to Transversal Inferior. It is a 100% residential area, mainly offering high-end apartments for rent.
La Tomadera is one of the most sought-after areas in El Poblado due to its excellent access roads and proximity to recreational and commercial areas. One of the most representative buildings is Saint Moritz, with apartments averaging 200 m². Another notable building is Calle Quinta, which offers loft-style apartments for rent. Overall, this sector is highly valued for its location, diversity, and ease of vehicular and pedestrian access to commercial areas, despite being a highly residential zone.
Reference points include San Fernando Plaza, Parque Lleras, Parque del Poblado, Clínica Medellín, and Dann Carlton Hotel.
LOMA LOS PARRA
This hill is Calle 1 Sur, starting at Avenida El Poblado near San Fernando Plaza and ending at El Tesoro Shopping Mall. It consists of buildings with apartments for rent and family-style houses for rent. Los Parra is located near San Fernando Plaza, Mall Plaza, El Tesoro Shopping Mall, and the Golden Mile. Properties in this area range from 55 to 220 m², with rental prices between COP 2,000,000 and COP 5,000,000 (2017).
ALEJANDRÍA
Loma Alejandría is Calle 3 Sur and has the least continuity, extending from Avenida El Poblado to Transversal Inferior. It is characterized by offering many apartments with smaller areas, starting at approximately 70 m², though some reach up to 220 m². Rental prices range from COP 1,500,000 to COP 5,000,000. Due to its proximity to Avenida El Poblado, Alejandría features notable commercial buildings such as Porvenir, Banco de Occidente Building, Sudameris, Davivienda, the Golden Mile, and La Strada.
LOMA LOS GONZÁLEZ
This hill is Calle 5 Sur and begins at the Golden Mile. It is a residential area offering family apartments for rent with areas between 130 and 200 m², with rental prices ranging from COP 1,800,000 to COP 5,000,000. Commercially, its proximity to Río Sur and the Visitación Mall on Transversal Inferior stands out. Representative residential buildings include La Reserva, San Miguel, Torre Ferrara, Camino del Este, and Pino Azul.
LOS BALSOS
Loma Los Balsos corresponds to Calle 9 Sur and is one of the main roads in El Poblado, considered a high-traffic arterial route toward Las Palmas. As a dual carriageway, it has greater importance compared to other hills. Los Balsos is a very diverse area, with residential complexes, educational institutions, and office centers.
In terms of housing, it offers family apartments starting at 90 m² and houses for rent from approximately 160 to 200 m². From Transversal Superior toward Las Palmas, it is considered a high-end residential area. Rental prices in this zone range between COP 1,900,000 and COP 4,000,000 (2017). Representative residential buildings include Bosques de la Cascada and Condominio Los Balsos.
Reference points include Santafé Shopping Mall, La Vaquita Supermarket, Complex Los Balsos, El Castillo Museum, La Enseñanza School, Pinares School, La Colina School, and Santa María del Rosario School.
LOMA EL CAMPESTRE
Loma El Campestre corresponds to Calle 16A Sur and is easily recognized by the presence of Club Campestre. It is a residential and commercial area offering single-family homes and apartments with areas over 100 m², with rental prices between COP 2,000,000 and COP 5,000,000 (2017). Residential developments in this area include both newer and older constructions. A representative building is Torres de Hungría.
Commercially, the area includes Drive Inn Mall, Olímpica San Lucas, DHL Building, gyms, and yoga centers.
LA FRONTERA
La Frontera is Calle 20 Sur and marks the boundary between Medellín and Envigado. Apartments in this area range from COP 1,200,000 to COP 3,000,000 (2017), with areas between 80 and 130 m². Representative buildings include La Abadía and Linda Villa.
Commercial reference points include Mall La Frontera, Sao Paulo, Euro La Frontera, and Telesentinel.
